A totally quiet gem in the middle of nature. Everything about the interior of the establishment also radiates quality and refinement. One feels totally at home and cared for. The hosts are engaging and warm and display the utmost care for their guests and their experience.

Both me and my husband was on our honeymoon and we pick shangri-la manor for 3 night when we pass through gatden route, we loved our stay there! The property is so beautiful inside and out. Gives you a feeling of nobleness, classic and old charm style deco. When you step outside, the whole dynamic changed. Just wild and lush. The room super spacious and comfortable, the view from the room’s balcony was so stunning and breakfast was delicious. The host was doing everything to make us feel comfortable and at the end of our check out, we received a lovely surprise gift for our honeymoon. Overall, we are very much enjoy staying there and we strongly recommended this place.

Fantastic place to relax and wind down. The owner was fantastic, the food and service were excellent. I would definitely recommend the Shangri-la to anyone staying in Wilderness.

Ich wollte meinen Urlaub im Shangri-La Manor Hotel verbringen, aber meine Erfahrung war weit entfernt von dem, was ich erwartet hatte. Schon bei der Ankunft begannen die Probleme: Das Tor war verschlossen und auf das Klingeln reagierte niemand. Nach einer langen Wartezeit wurden wir endlich eingelassen. Das größte Problem war das nicht vorhandene WLAN. Heutzutage erwarte ich als Reisender in jedem Hotel eine funktionierende Internetverbindung, aber hier war das WLAN während meines gesamten Aufenthalts nicht erreichbar. Zudem war das kulinarische Erlebnis enttäuschend. Alle Mahlzeiten mussten mindestens einen Tag im Voraus bestellt werden, was jede Spontanität beim Essen zunichtemachte. Insgesamt fühlte sich mein Aufenthalt eher wie in einem Museum an und nicht wie in einem Hotel, das für einen entspannenden Urlaub geeignet ist. Ich kann das Shangri-La Manor Hotel leider nicht empfehlen und bin enttäuscht von der Erfahrung. Eine dringende Modernisierung und Verbesserung des Service sind notwendig, um den Bedürfnissen moderner Urlauber gerecht zu werden.

Highly recommend this location. What a treat!! From the moment you arrive, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. You would not get this standard even in a 5 star in Ireland. We were blown away. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. They really make you feel right at home. The views from the rooms are just out of this world also. You do need a car and it is about 15 mins drive from the town but this did not bother us. Ps. The breakfast is also amazing.

This is a beautiful place hidden in the forest with friendly staff and amazing rooms looking over the valley. The area offers a lot of things to do and is close enough to the beaches as well. It was really breathtaking!
